Exclusively for females: strength, speed and power for sports performance and for general physical health benefits
For young people who have discovered a sport they love, athletic development training—often called strength and conditioning—plays a vital role. It helps them build a broad base of movement skills and fitness qualities that enhance performance, while also reducing injury risk by improving physical robustness.
In the developing bodies of children and teenagers, improving movement quality and learning a wide range of skills—such as sprinting, jumping, and changing direction—are especially important. Training that also strengthens posture and coordination refines these skills further, creating adaptable athletes, which is a key ingredient of sporting success. Research in youth athletic development consistently shows that enhancing physical fitness in this way supports young athletes’ progress and long-term potential.
Through our research-driven and experience-based model of movement training and athletic development, MatchFit Youth delivers age-appropriate strength and conditioning training to adolescent females aged 13-16 years.
Our sessions are led by professionally qualified strength and conditioning coaches, accredited by the UK Strength & Conditioning Association. These sessions are delivered the Rayleigh MegaCentre.
